Dr. Nate Merhaut grew up in Canfield, Ohio and went to college at Slippery Rock University in Slippery Rock, PA. He got his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and later went onto Logan University where he got his Masters in Sports Science and Rehabilitation and his Doctorate in Chiropractic.

While at Logan University, he gained experience working with athletes of all levels in the Biofreeze Human Performance Center, Lindenwood University, Harris Stowe University, Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville, and The University of Missouri. He also gained extensive experience working on spinal cord injuries, stroke patients, Multiple Sclerosis, and other disabilities through Paraquad.

Dr. Merhaut completed his masters internship and chiropractic preceptorship at Elite Sports and Spine Chiropractic before becoming one of the chiropractors on staff. He considers his care 'patient-focused' because he uses a combination of techniques and treatments to suit what the patient needs.

Post graduation, Dr. Merhaut obtained his certification as a Certified Chiropractic Sports Practitioner (CCSP®) and will be working towards becoming a Diplomate of the American Board of Chiropractic Sports Practitioners (DACBSP®).

He focuses on treating not only the site of pain, but also the underlying dysfunction. His life-long goal is to educate his patients on how to live a healthy and active lifestyle. He enjoys taking the time to teach his patients about the diagnosis and treatments being provided.
