Dr. Dughoff brings a thoughtful, collaborative, and deeply integrative approach to patient care, grounded in more than a decade of experience working at the intersection of physical health and mental well-being. She is known for meeting patients exactly where they are by honoring their unique histories, goals, and lived experiences. She does with while still providing clear guidance and evidence-based strategies to reduce suffering and improve quality of life. Dr. Dughoff earned her doctorate in Counseling Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin, with training rooted in integrative healthcare and population-based health psychology. Her early work in epidemiology and psycho-oncology shaped a career-long passion for understanding how stress, trauma, and emotional processes impact the body. She has spent over 12 years working within the Veterans Affairs healthcare system in primary care and integrated medical settings, where she supported patients managing chronic illness, medical trauma, pain, and complex mind-body conditions. Dr. Dughoff’s clinical superpower is her collaborative flexibility. She approaches therapy as a true partnership, drawing from a wide range of evidence-based modalities while remaining highly attuned to each patient’s needs, preferences, and goals. This is grounded in her deep commitment to helping patients find relief and regain confidence in their bodies. She frequently integrates clinical hypnosis, mindfulness-based interventions, and cognitive-behavioral approaches, adapting treatment collaboratively rather than relying on rigid, one-size-fits-all protocols.
