Ana Maria is a Spanish university-qualified dietitian currently living in Santa Clara, California who is passionate about helping Spanish-speaking patients with gastrointestinal conditions, especially IBS.
She graduated with a bachelor's degree in Nutrition Science, followed by a master's degree in clinical nutrition in Mexico City. She is trained in facilitating the low FODMAP diet for IBS by Monash University.
After her mother-in-law was diagnosed with IBS and experiencing that situation very closely, she started focusing her career on gastrointestinal conditions and worked for several years in private practice with a group of gastroenterologists in Mexico City.
In 2018, Ana Maria moved with her family to the USA for her husband's work and discovered the need for trained and experienced professionals who could work with Spanish-speaking clients in the USA and all over the world. Ana Maria continued working remotely and opened her virtual private practice, Anamari Nutrition.
