Users can choose programs to try within the app, which have a structured set of sessions which last for several weeks (across the learning, embedding, deepening and reinforcing stages). Users can also log in and do standalone sessions (known as 'Moments') of varying lengths whenever they want. The programs in the app include: Positivity & growth, Anxiety, Depression, Cognitive-distortions, Achieving goals, Self-awareness, and more. The moments in the app include: Focus on Calm Now, Facing a Challenge, Get energy now, Pain relief, Keeping a cool head, Distancing yourself, Headache relief, Increase productivity, Increase motivation.
The Mindset app costs US$69.95 per year, or US$7.49 per month, which gives users access to more than 10 full programs and 15 standalone 'moments' for less than the price of a single in-person session.
After downloading the Mindset app, you will be asked to start a 7-day trial in order to access the hypnothearpy content.

Mindset provides structured app-based hypnotherapy programs and one-off sessions ('Moments') for a series of common mental health and life efficacy challenges. It covers topics from anxiety and depression, to relationships, sleep, productivity, self-esteem and decision-making - and many more.
All Mindset Health products are developed in partnership with clinician-researchers who have developed specialised hypnotherapy practices around the conditions addressed by the apps.The Mindset app was created in conjunction with Dr. Michael Yapko, a leading clinical psychologist and hypnotherapy researcher with a focus on using hypnotherapy for mental health conditions like depression. Dr. Yapko has authored several books on the subject, and has taught hypnotherapy techniques to healthcare practitioners in over 30 countries.
Hypnotherapy is generally relaxing and exceptionally safe. Adverse reactions are very uncommon and transient, but may include headache, drowsiness, dizziness, anxiety.
Mindset is extremely low-risk and you are welcome to start without speaking first to a healthcare practitioner; however, if this app is part of a multidisciplinary approach to addressing conditions like depression and anxiety, it may be helpful to update your healthcare practitioner so that they can integrate that into your treatment plan.
No, this is normal; one of the principles of hypnotherapy is using repetition of key cues and visualisations over time to allow the concepts being taught to sink in.
It's preferable to listen to the whole program while awake, as this allows the concepts and visualisations to sink in more deeply. However, it can be very relaxing! If you do find yourself getting overly sleepy or dozing off, we recommend recommencing the session and potentially switching up your routine. For example, try changing the time at which you listen (if you are listening close to bedtime, move it earlier). You can also try changing the position in which you listen (sitting up rather than lying down).

If you are doing a structured program, these are designed to be experienced one day at a time (though you are welcome to listen to a session more than once per day if desired). If you are using Moments sessions, you can listen at a frequency and pace which suits you. If you are working with a therapist and using the app for homework, ask for their guidance on how you should be listening to the sessions.
